The More You Learn, The More You Earn

Anyone that knows me knows that I am an rabid reader. (yes I did mean rabid!)

My book collection can stand up against most book stores and have a fighting chance.

Now most of my book collection is based around marketing, business, self improvement, etc. I’m not much in to fiction though I do have a section for that as well.

I look at my books as my always growing university. I am always learning new things. I love to soak up new information.

Not too long ago I was at a seminar with Brad Sugars of Action Coach on his Business Is Booming Tour. I’ve known about Brad for many years. I love his stuff. He’s a VERY smart guy.

Want to know how I first found out about him? You guessed it… I found one of his books.

At this seminar, he said one thing that stood out more than anything else all night.

“If you can out learn me, you can out earn me”

One of the biggest excuses I hear from people on anything is “I don’t know how to do that.”

Now seriously, if you needed to do brain surgery, I could understand this excuse but people use this for almost everything under the sun. Do you want to know how I learned almost everything I know today? From books.

People see me as one of those guys that knows a lot of stuff. I get people asking me questions all the time. Especially related to marketing or anything Internet related. I’m known as an expert. And proudly so. But guess how I learned all that stuff? Yup, once again… from books. Hundreds of them!

Think about it. If there is anything you want to know more about or learn to do, just pick up a few books and go to town. It’s not really any harder than that.

Does that mean that I know everything about it? Of course not.

Does that mean that I have stopped learning? Heck no! I’m always looking for more. I want to know it all. Funny thing is that I go into it with that attitude even though I know that I will never know everything about any one topic. There is always new information. Be willing to learn.

You see, to get ahead in life you have to be focused on being the best you can in whatever you are after. You have to know it inside and out.

The more you can learn about any topic, the more likely you will get ahead and achieve your goal.

So many people want to know the secret to success.
It’s actually pretty simple. Learn more and take action.
That’s it.
