My Mobile Tech Stack For Speakers
As a speaker, we're often doing virtual presentations from hotel rooms and trying to get work done at coffee shops. If you're like me, I have an amazing command center in my office and it's just not the same when I'm out and about traveling.
In order to create the best environment and be as productive as I can while traveling, I've put together my own "Mobile Tech Stack For Speakers" that's worked pretty well for me.
I don't go as far as bringing a green screen with me everywhere I go but the rest of the tools keep me looking as professional as possible on the go.

Duex Mobile Monitor
This is the monitor that I have. It's light and easy to set up. If you're used to an external monitor (and I can't understand how anyone can get along without one), then you'll love this for your laptop and travel!
Upgraded Trio Mobile Monitor
This is the newer model of what I have. I've heard great things about it but for the price difference it will be up to you if it's worth the upgrade.
Travel Cooling Pad
If you spend hours at a time on your computer, you should be using one of these. Overheating is the #1 killer of laptops and this thing will help. It's a bit bulky but is super light and still fits in my backpack.
External Battery Pack
This one is the big boy! It's not light but a huge life saver when you're short on power. This will not only charge your phone but it will charge your USB-C laptop as well. I use with with my Macbook Air and it will give it a full extra charge!
Battery Pack Case
If you get the battery pack, get this as well. It's a great case to hold the battery and all cables. Very much worth it.
Presentation Clicker
This one is NOT optional!!!
Your'e a professional. Carry your own clicker in case you're at an event and they don't have one. Nothing shows "not quite together" than having to walk over to your laptop to move slides during a presentation.
External Hard Drive
It never fails, you need more space than you expect.
Ok, maybe it's just me but I know I'm always needing more space. If you do any video at all, you don't want to get stuck without enough space to offload you camera or get a copy of your presentation from the AV crew.
Hard Drive Case
100% also not optional. Keep your external drive safer with a padded case.
Noise Canceling EarBuds
If you fly, these are a must!
Loud engines and screaming babies gone with a click of a button. Active Noise Canceling is amazing and I don't know how I hadn't heard of them sooner. BTW, these are the wired version so they will still be functional if you forget to charge them where the Bluetooth are not. Plus the BT version really doesn't compare to these.
Travel Power Strip
Mine was bought at a local store but honestly i think this one would be better andI might be ordering one like this soon.
Same purpose and plugs as mine just with a longer cable. You want something that has a couple of USB ports and a couple 3 prong plugs that you can use to keep all your gear charged.
